God's Promise Soap

I’m not proud. I’m humbled and in awe. I’m humbled by God's great mercy and long suffering. I’m humbled by God's grace and forgiveness. I'm in awe of His creation and His love that loves us even still while we are so unlovable.

I don't know how to rightly explain it, but now, whenever I see this symbol I get this twist in my gut and my heart sinks. It shouldn't feel that way. This symbol and these colors have been so profaned, that it causes my soul to feel outraged by just the sight of it. When I see it, I should remember how great God is but somehow, it disgusts me.

Taking something so sacred that is a sign of God's promise, something He created to be utterly beautiful, and twisting it into something so unnatural, that's what gets to me.

The world wants us to fear. It wants to eradicate Christianity and our beliefs and morals. It wants us to bow down and just accept the highjacking of the rainbow, and its true meaning. And I think that's the approach most Christians take, just remain quiet.

I will not.
