The Story Behind Vietnam Veterans Soap:
His shaky worn hand reached down into his pocket and out came a medicine bottle filled with one-cent pennies with a cross cut out of them. He picked out one of each matching set and handed them to each of us at the table.

Never did I think I'd be sitting at Applebees with tears running down my face. But here I was, chicken salad in front of me, sitting with my lil' family, crying like a lil baby.

Across the aisle were two older gentlemen. One wearing an army cap, and the other a Vietnam veteran cap. When a moment of opportunity came, I thanked them for their service. They were appreciative, and one rose from his seat and walked over to our table.

Pulling out the bottle of coins, he said, "Here take this, He is the one sent." The one sent to die, the one sent who rose from the dead, and the one sent to save the lost. Tears began to fill my eyes.

Here standing before me were two noble men who fought for me to be sitting freely at Applebees. They served our country in the 60s and 70s, they had both served their wives who have now passed away, and now they live together, both serving Jesus. They were two of the most joyful people I have ever met. Even after all they have been through, seen, and done.

He asked me if I knew anyone who served. I said yes, and a lil more into the conversation, I told him that I make handmade soap, one being a military soap and that many of you have served our country. At that very moment, he reached back into his pocket and handed me the entire bottle of coins. My tears were out of control. He told me to make a special soap for ya'll and put a set of each stamped-out coin in them.

And that's exactly what I did.

Spice and cedarwood with light notes of bergamot and zest. It is a classic clean and manly scent.

Ingredients: olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, castor oil, distilled water, lye**, mica, fragrance oil (phthalate free)

NOTE: With the constant care, love and integrity I put into each and every product and to the raw, natural ingredients sourced in my line, there may be a slight variance in texture, color and scent with each new weekly batch made.

*This product is scented with a fragrance oil, therefore it is not 100% all natural. But, the fragrance oil used has been carefully selected and tested safe for the application in which it is used. The final product only contains up to 5% of fragrance. All fragrance oils are phthalate free.

**Lye is used in the process of making soap however, there is no lye left in the finished product.

Common Sense Caution:
Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush eyes with cool water. If adverse reaction, discontinue use.

I wanted the soap simply because I dated a Vietnam vet for many years. He would nap on my couch but his eyes never fully closed when he was sleeping. I went to wake him up one time & found myself flying across the room. Luckily I wasn’t hurt; but that’s when he told me that in Vietnam they learned to never close their eyes all the way sleeping & they never fully slept. They stayed on the defensive even in sleep. When I touched him to wake him, he automatically went into defense mode. I couldn’t imagine having to learn to sleep like that. I don’t know if all the soldiers learned that or just his unit; but I never woke him up by touch again. 😂😂They never got the honor they deserved when they did make it home. Few of them enlisted voluntarily. They were drafted & had no choice, unless they wanted to become criminals by avoiding the draft. Few had the money to do that. We treated them dreadfully as a nation. My ordering your soap was a way to honor him. He passed away recently, which is another reason. By the way, I love the scent. I keep it by my reading chair still in the wrapper. Every now and then I pick it up just to inhale its scent. 😊❤️

This soap is just so visually uplifting. I ordered three bars. I intend to gift them to strangers…you know the quiet gentlemen sitting nearby in a restaurant…yep I plan to tuck a soap in my purse with Millie Ann’s story of how it came to be and pass on my gratitude. ❤️. I honor Millie Ann by purchasing them because she is a genuine American doing good for humanity. I say it is all a win win.
